My favorite highlighters
When shopping for a highlighter, there are so many options depending on what look you are trying to achieve. When selecting a highlighter, consider factors such as your preferred finish (subtle or intense), your skin tone, and the desired effect you want to achieve. But at the end of the day whichever you use should make you feel confident and glow! Here are some popular ones to try out and some personal favorites.
1. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter:
Becca's Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter is a cult favorite known for its finely milled texture and intense luminosity. It provides a reflective, high-impact glow that can be built up or sheered out for a more subtle effect. It comes in a range of shades to complement various skin tones. While the brand is sadly discontinued, you can now find the same formula under the Smashbox brand name!
2. Fenty Beauty Killawatt Freestyle Highlighter:
Fenty Beauty's Killawatt Freestyle Highlighters offer a versatile range of shades, from subtle to bold, with both shimmer and metallic finishes. The formula is buttery smooth and blendable, allowing for a seamless application. It can be used as a highlighter, eyeshadow, or even body shimmer. It is so easy to throw in your purse as well and does not melt or leave a shimmery mess.
3.Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder:
While not strictly a dedicated highlighter, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powders are known for their ability to impart a soft-focus glow to the skin. These powders have a unique blend of illuminating pigments that diffuse light and create a luminous effect without emphasizing texture or pores.
4.Benefit Cosmetics High Beam Liquid Highlighter:
Benefit's High Beam Liquid Highlighter is a versatile product that offers a radiant and dewy finish. The liquid formula can be easily blended onto the skin, providing a natural-looking glow. It works well on its own or mixed with foundation for an all-over luminosity.
Whichever highlighter you may choose, it is crucial to wash it all off at the end of the day. Sleeping in makeup is not good for glowing skin since it leads to clogged pores and irritated skin. My absolute favorite way to make sure this does not happen is to use my Seadrop Seafoam Cleanser. It gets rid of all my makeup and residue so my skin feels clean and refreshed!
